Wild Rose Rescue Ranch had some serious challenges this year – a long hot drought – prices went up for hay and feed – fighting a legal battle with new unfair town legislation.  The bunnies are all fine thanks to all the ongoing efforts of the WRRR but they sure could use an Easter gift this year.

Just to let you know that we have lots of lovely healthy happy bunnies and full grown rabbits that need to find good homes.  Some of these bunnies are the offspring of the original UVIC rabbits and some are ones that were too sick to go to Texas at the time we went, so remained here, but are in good health now.  If you are interested in adopting or taking some to your sanctuary please contact me (Kathleen) at katpro2000@hotmail.com and I can give you more information.  If you are not in our area but still are interested, please contact us,  we will  find a way to get a lovely bunny to you.

Just quick information on what's going on with the bunnies

Thank you very much to all that participated and helped donate to the garage sale, bake sale and variety show. 

The Variety Show and Bake sale was amazing, but unfortunately took place on the long weekend, so the attendance was not quite as busy as expected.  However, every bit helps and we will continue to fund raise as much as possible. We will continue to keep you updated. Remember we are always looking for more volunteers to help out and if you are interested please email at savetheuvicbunnies@yahoo.ca.  If you wish to donate (which is always appreciated and needed) please go to http://www.tracs-bc.ca/uvicbun.html and scroll to the end of the page to make a donation.  

The good news is the bunnies are hardy and doing well, so we have to keep on going supporting those UVIC bunnies who through no fault of their own, had to make a long difficult journey to Texas to escape death, and now are living out the rest of their lives in a safe happy haven.
